SDCN’s Community Rooms are a place for individuals, families, community groups, services, and decision-makers to come together and work with each other.
Our Community Rooms are located at 51 Macandrew Road, South Dunedin. There is a large space – Ruma Kea – that is very flexible and can be configured in a number of ways. Ruma Kea has a coffee and tea station and couches. The medium-sized space – Ruma Pukeko – is also flexible and can be used for a range of things. tea and coffee is available either in Ruma Kea or in the Wharekai.
Book our rooms for your community group
South Dunedin Community Network (SDCN) offers 2 wheelchair accessible rooms to book at no cost to community groups and non-profit-making ventures (and a small fee to for-profit groups): Ruma Pukeko and Ruma Kea.
Ruma Pukeko seats up to 15 people and has many power outlets, a large table area for working as well as a smaller table for group conversation.
Ruma Kea is a larger space where individuals and groups can come together to support and connect with each other. The room can hold up to 30 people.
The use of both spaces includes access to tea, coffee and other refreshments, toilets (with wheelchair accessible toilet also available). There are free carparks across the road, with some by the back entry to the building – which is also wheelchair accessible
